BLACK AND BLUR brings together artists who approach cinema as a site of inquiry, ritual, performance, archive, and experimentation. Working across essay film, choreography, archival practice, handmade processes, sound, poetry, abstraction, and installation aesthetics, these filmmakers challenge dominant cinematic forms while expanding the visual and philosophical language of Black moving-image culture. The works invite audiences to linger with sensation, embodiment, memory, fragmentation, materiality, and performance, affirming experimental cinema as an essential space for Black artistic innovation, intellectual inquiry, and radical imagination.
